Last Stop Beginner Guide

Survive your first Last Stop Roblox run by preparing the bus, sorting loot by purpose, using terminals well, and entering checkpoints together.

Your first Last Stop run should answer three questions quickly: can the bus move, what resource will stop it next, and which items must not be sold? The official experience describes a loop of building the bus, scavenging, selling loot, finding weapons, and fighting zombies and bosses. Community walkthroughs add a practical lesson: runs usually become difficult after the team loses mobility or fills its inventory with things that do not solve the next problem.

Make the bus road-ready

Open inventory with Tab and inspect unfamiliar items with Y. Use Z only when the placement or attachment preview shows a valid bus surface. In the commonly documented opening, players fit the missing wheels and supply initial fuel before leaving; treat the live prompts as authoritative if the Beta changes that sequence.

Choose a driver before the vehicle moves. Another player can track fuel and parts, while the rest prepare weapons and storage. If you are solo, complete a full walk around the vehicle before driving: mobility first, fuel second, one weapon third, then free inventory space. Moving early with an unfinished bus only turns a thirty-second check into a roadside emergency.

Learn the item-state controls

Click performs the grab action or shoots, depending on what you hold. E equips or uses an item, Q drops it, R reloads a gun, Z places or attaches a build, Tab opens inventory, and Y inspects. The important distinction is state: holding, equipping, storing, placing, and attaching are not interchangeable.

When Z appears to do nothing, confirm the part is actually held, stand near an accepted attachment area, move other loose objects away, and look for the placement preview. When E appears to do nothing, inspect the item and check whether it is meant to be equipped, consumed, loaded, or attached instead. The Controls guide has a full diagnosis order.

Loot for a purpose

At each stop, name the shortage before opening every container. Fuel keeps the bus moving. Matching ammunition keeps a gun useful. Food and healing protect the next fight. Materials matter only when they support a visible recipe or planned repair. High-value surplus is useful because it can be converted at a terminal.

Do not carry three weapons with no matching ammunition while selling fuel. Do not keep every material “for later” if the group has not selected a recipe. Do not sell an item tied to the current bus, NPC task, Hospital reward, or Fred ending. Inspect first, then sort items into use now, reserve, craft, sell, or unknown.

Use terminals as reset points

A terminal is where the group turns scavenging into preparation. Before selling, place protected items away from the sale flow and agree on the next purchase. Convert duplicates and clear surplus into fuel, ammunition, healing, or a specific upgrade. Read the value shown in the current server; community value tables can lag behind a Beta patch.

After shopping, reload every gun, refill or organize fuel, repair mobility problems, and clear the bus floor. Storage is useful only when the team knows what belongs there. Label one area for fuel and parts, another for combat supplies, and keep quest or ending items away from general sale cargo.

Enter checkpoints together

Checkpoint objectives can stop the route until active enemies or another condition is cleared. Approach with the bus ready to leave, not nearly empty. Call the stop, wait for looters to return, reload, and decide where the driver will keep the vehicle. The exact wave count and condition require current-server confirmation, so react to the live objective instead of memorizing an old number.

During the fight, avoid chasing one enemy so far that the team loses sight of the bus or objective. After the last enemy, confirm that the gate or task actually completed. Heal, recover dropped gear, inspect wheels and fuel, and make sure every player is aboard before crossing the next trigger.

Keep combat sustainable

Use a reliable melee weapon for ordinary enemies when it is safe, and protect gun ammunition for threats that require range or burst. Match ammunition to the weapon before investing inventory space. If a gun is empty and no matching rounds are available, it is cargo rather than a combat plan.

Terrain can help, but do not assume a fence, roof, or moving bus makes you immune. Beta pathing and hit detection can change. Keep an exit, shorten long reloads under pressure, and stop fighting for low-value loot when the bus and team can continue.

Prepare the ending early

The official badges identify a defeat ending and a cure ending for Fred. You do not need to decide in the opening minute, but the group should choose before protected supplies or final ammunition are sold. If a Cure Potion is found, separate it from ordinary consumables and tell every teammate what the intended outcome is.

For the defeat path, arrive with the weapon and ammunition you actually know how to use. For the cure path, preserve the required item and avoid accidental damage after the cure condition. Exact interaction order and team credit still require in-game confirmation, so follow the live prompts at the last stop.

Fix a failed first run

  • Bus cannot move: check required wheels, attachment state, and fuel before searching for a rare upgrade.
  • Inventory is full: discard or sell duplicate low-purpose loot; move protected supplies into organized storage.
  • No ammunition: stop collecting unmatched guns and use the Ammo guide to pair rounds with the current weapon.
  • Checkpoint wipes the team: arrive together, shorten optional detours, and keep a reserve for the objective.
  • Hospital attempt caused trouble: record the current clue and use the Hospital guide rather than a universal number.
  • Ending changed unexpectedly: agree earlier and keep the relevant item or ammunition outside the sale pile.

First-run checklist

Before moving: bus mobile, fuel present, one usable weapon, inventory space, driver chosen. Before leaving a stop: shortage answered, protected items separated, surplus identified. Before a checkpoint: team aboard, guns loaded, healing ready, fuel reserve. Before the last stop: Fred outcome agreed, potion or final-fight ammunition protected.

Evidence checked September 18, 2026. The controls and core loop are official. The detailed opening routine and resource priorities are Community corroborated across current Last Stop walkthroughs and should be confirmed against the live prompts.
