How to Beat Last Stop

Reach the final stop by keeping the bus mobile, converting loot into supplies, clearing checkpoints, and preparing the Fred outcome.

To beat Last Stop, keep the bus capable of reaching the next objective and arrive at the final sequence with the supplies for the Fred outcome your team chose. The core rhythm is prepare, drive, clear the stop, loot for a named need, sell true surplus, repair and refuel, then regroup before the next checkpoint. A run with impressive loot but no fuel, wheels, ammunition, or team coordination usually ends before its items matter.

Opening: build for movement

Use the live prompts to complete the opening bus setup. Current walkthroughs show players attaching required wheels and supplying fuel before leaving, while the official controls establish Z as the place/build/attach input. Walk around the vehicle, confirm the needed parts are attached rather than merely lying nearby, and choose a driver.

Keep the first inventory simple: one reliable weapon, matching ammunition if available, basic healing or food, and space for the next stop. Put bus fuel and repair materials where the team can identify them. Driving away with a floor covered in unknown loot makes every later stop slower.

Early road: solve shortages in order

Fuel and mobility are the first priorities because they determine whether the run continues. Next comes a reliable way to defeat ordinary enemies without consuming all of the final-fight ammunition. Healing and food protect the next stop. Only after those needs are covered should the team maximize sale value or optional upgrades.

At each building, announce what you are looking for. Inspect items before picking up duplicates. Leave low-purpose cargo when inventory space is needed for fuel, matching ammo, a bus part, or a clearly useful quest item. The Loot hub helps sort by function, and the Fuel guide protects the vehicle reserve.

Terminals: convert, do not just sell

The purpose of selling is to turn unused cargo into the next resource. Before touching the sale area, separate protected supplies. Sell duplicates, obsolete gear, and items whose only current purpose is cash. Read the live sale value and keep patch-sensitive numbers out of long-term memory.

Spend with a plan: enough fuel to reach the next known opportunity, ammunition for the weapon you will actually carry, healing for the next checkpoint, or a part that prevents a clear mobility failure. A flashy second gun without ammo is usually less useful than a full reserve for the current weapon.

Checkpoints: arrive as one team

Treat a checkpoint as a gate that can demand combat, an objective, or both. Stop looting before the bus enters, load weapons, heal, and bring every player back. Position the vehicle so the team can see the objective and retreat route without assuming it is invulnerable.

Follow the current objective text. Community guides disagree on counts and sequences, so do not leave because an old video’s wave number was reached. After the fight, verify the gate, rescue, key, or other condition, then reload and inspect the bus. The Checkpoint guide provides the full recovery checklist.

Mid-run: choose detours by cost

Optional locations, NPC events, bosses, and the Hospital can provide progress or badges, but they also consume fuel, time, health, and ammunition. Take a detour when the group can afford the approach and the reward matches a goal. Skip it during a first clear if it risks the supplies needed for the main road.

For the Hospital, record the incomplete code shown in that run and prepare for the consequences of a wrong entry. For Anubis or Dracula, bring a boss-specific plan and leave enough reserve for the rest of the road. Those encounters are badge-backed objectives, not substitutes for reaching Fred.

Late road: protect the outcome

The official badge descriptions establish two end states. Defeating Fred at the last stop completes the combat ending. Using the Cure Potion and ending the ride without killing him completes the cure ending. Decide which branch the group is pursuing before the final stop.

For defeat, preserve an equipped ranged option and matching ammunition if that is the team’s demonstrated plan. For cure, protect the potion and make sure every player understands that uncontrolled damage can conflict with the condition. The precise potion source and interaction are not confirmed by first-party documentation, so follow the live item description and prompt.

Recover when the route falls behind

If fuel is low, stop selling fuel-class items and shorten optional detours. If a wheel or part fails, prioritize a visible repair or replacement recipe before adding armor or decoration. If ammunition is low, use safer melee choices for ordinary enemies and stop carrying guns that cannot be supplied. If healing is low, take only the fights needed to continue.

When a team member is separated, pause at a safe point rather than triggering the next checkpoint. When inventory is chaotic, make one bus-storage pass: protected ending items, fuel and parts, combat supplies, sale cargo. A two-minute reset can save a forty-minute run.

Final-stop checklist

  • The driver and every surviving teammate understand the chosen Fred outcome.
  • The bus has enough mobility and fuel to reach the trigger.
  • The active weapons are loaded and matching ammunition is accessible.
  • Healing is equipped rather than buried under sale loot.
  • The Cure Potion, if used, is clearly separated and assigned.
  • Optional bosses and badges are no longer draining the main-route reserve.

What is verified and what can change

The bus–scavenge–sell–weapon–zombie–boss loop and PC inputs are official. Fred’s two named outcomes are official badge facts. The ordered road strategy is Community corroborated by multiple current walkthroughs. Exact stop order, checkpoint waves, item values, boss health, potion acquisition, and team-credit behavior need current in-game confirmation.
