Last Stop Ammo Guide

Match Last Stop ammunition to the equipped gun, preserve a route reserve, reload correctly, and avoid carrying unsupported weapons.

A gun is useful only while the run can supply it. Last Stop’s official controls use R to reload, but the public description does not publish a complete gun-to-ammunition table. Inspect the weapon and ammo in the current server, match their displayed labels, and confirm the reload before building the route around that firearm.

Match before you carry

Equip or inspect the gun, read its ammunition label or prompt, then compare the box or stack name exactly. Similar-looking rounds are not proof of compatibility. Press R in a safe place and confirm the magazine or visible count changes.

If no label is shown, treat the mapping as unverified until the reload succeeds. Do not carry several unmatched stacks “just in case” when that space is needed for fuel, healing, parts or objective cargo.

Build a route reserve

Divide ammunition into ordinary-fight use, checkpoint reserve and final or optional boss reserve. Use a reliable melee option for low-risk enemies when it preserves the gun for situations that require range. The exact split depends on team size, weapon, accuracy and current encounter balance.

Current community walkthroughs often preserve medium ammunition for a Revolver used late in the run. That is a route example, not an official universal rule. Confirm the exact live names and whether the weapon remains part of your plan.

Reload before the fight

Use R while the team is regrouped, not after enemies surround the bus. Check that the gun is equipped, matching rounds are carried, and the magazine is not already full. Avoid starting another interaction or placement action during the reload.

When R fails, open inventory and inspect both items. Check whether the ammo is stored elsewhere, belongs to another player, or uses a different label. Switching guns can also reveal that the wrong weapon was active.

Share ammo in a squad

Tell the team which guns are active and which ammo each player needs. Consolidate a type when one player is the designated ranged fighter, but assign backup ownership if that player is downed or leaves. Do not let four players buy four incompatible guns while the terminal stock cannot supply them.

Before a checkpoint, distribute rounds according to role and accuracy. After the fight, announce remaining reserves and decide whether the next detour can be afforded. A player with no rounds should switch role rather than pretend the empty gun is still protection.

Decide whether to buy or sell ammunition

Keep ammo that matches a current or deliberately saved weapon. Sell or leave unmatched ammo only after checking whether the team has the compatible gun and whether the next shop can supply the active type. A high sale amount does not automatically make matching final-fight rounds expendable.

At a terminal, compare the live purchase cost with the current reserve and route goal. Buy enough to cover the next planned hard encounter before optional upgrades. Do not freeze exact prices in a guide without a date.

Record a reliable mapping

Each mapping needs exact weapon name, ammo name, server date, successful reload, capacity if visibly shown, amount consumed, and source. Add rarity or variant when present. A screenshot of two items sitting near each other is not a compatibility test.

If the same label behaves differently after an update, record both builds and recheck. Leave stack limits and scarcity blank when the interface does not support them.

Fight efficiently with limited rounds

Use range where it changes the risk: dangerous targets, unreachable enemies, boss phases, or checkpoint pressure. Avoid firing into enemies a safe melee player is already controlling. Wait for a clear shot instead of spending several rounds through obstructed cargo or movement.

Headshot recommendations are common in community boss guides, but the exact multiplier and target behavior require current testing. Treat visible higher damage as encounter evidence, not a permanent universal statistic.

Troubleshoot ammunition loss

  • Check whether reload, firing or dropping consumed the visible stack.
  • Confirm another player did not move the reserve into bus storage.
  • Separate sale cargo from matching ammunition before terminal use.
  • Inspect the equipped gun after a pickup or class loadout change.
  • Recount after a checkpoint and before an optional boss.
  • Record any server bug with exact items and steps, without exposing account data.

The Weapons guide covers loadout roles, and What to Sell prevents the reserve from being converted accidentally.

Evidence level: R as the reload control is Official. Specific weapons, ammo types, compatibility, stack sizes, prices and scarcity are Community reported or Needs in-game testing, checked September 18, 2026.
