Last Stop: What to Sell

Decide what to sell in Last Stop by protecting fuel, repairs, weapons, matching ammo, planned materials, and objective items first.

Sell surplus, not capability. Before placing an item into the terminal flow, ask whether it can keep the bus moving, defeat the next threat, heal the team, complete the selected craft, or satisfy an active objective. If it serves none of those jobs and its live sale value helps buy a real need, it is a sale candidate.

Protect five groups first

Keep enough fuel for the next leg. Keep a critical replacement or repair item for the bus. Keep one active weapon and the ammunition that actually matches it. Keep food and healing appropriate to the next fight. Keep materials for the specific recipe the team has selected, plus any item clearly tied to an NPC, Hospital task, badge or Fred ending.

This is not a rule to hoard every useful object. Once a job is covered, duplicates and obsolete gear can be sold. Inventory space and bus organization are part of survival.

Use the live terminal value

Inspect the item and read the amount shown in the current server. Record rarity or variant when present. Beta patches can change prices, and two visually similar items can have different values. A copied table without a check date should not override the number on screen.

Compare sale proceeds with the next purchase. Turning a valuable into cash is only helpful when the cash becomes fuel, ammunition, healing, a class goal, or a part the run needs. Selling fuel to buy a gun with no ammunition is a poor conversion even if the sale number looks large.

Never-sell-until-resolved items

Objective items stay protected until their task is finished or abandoned. The official Cure Fred badge names the Cure Potion, so it should never sit in the ordinary sale pile during a cure attempt. Empty cans can have special purpose for the official Junk King objective, which asks players to pay Noodle entirely in empty cans. Hospital or NPC-event items should follow their current objective text.

Keep these objects in a separate storage area and tell the group who owns them. When the objective is complete, reassess; do not keep an item forever because it was once important.

Weapons, ammo and fuel

Keep the weapon you can use and the matching ammunition needed for the next hard encounter. Sell duplicate or obsolete weapons only after confirming their ammo and role are no longer needed. Community routes often preserve a Revolver and medium ammunition for Fred and a spare wheel for late mobility; verify those items in the current build before adopting the example.

Fuel deserves its own reserve. A high sale value cannot compensate if the bus stops before the next terminal. Use the Fuel guide to separate current fuel sources from cargo that merely looks burnable.

Materials and crafting

Open the workbench and select the recipe before reserving materials. Keep the displayed quantities plus a reasonable repair reserve, then sell excess only when another visible recipe or objective does not need it. Workbench unlock state matters: having materials for a locked recipe does not make it craftable.

The Materials guide maps Wood, Scrap, Duct Tape, Springs and other documented materials to current purposes without claiming a complete permanent recipe list.

Badge goals change the decision

The official Rich Person badge tracks $25,000 worth of items sold, and Elon Musk tracks $125,000. These are cumulative sale goals, not instructions to sacrifice the current run. Gold Hoarder instead tracks 250 Ticket value in the vault, a different system.

For a selling-badge run, keep mobility and combat essentials, then increase the amount of true surplus processed. Do not confuse award count with drop rate or item value.

Terminal routine

  1. Name the next shortages and chosen objective.
  2. Move fuel, repair, loadout, planned materials and objective items aside.
  3. Inspect sale candidates and read their live values.
  4. Sell agreed surplus through one player when possible.
  5. Buy essentials before optional upgrades.
  6. Recheck the bus, inventories and protected storage before leaving.

Recover from a mistaken sale

Check for a buyback or replacement path immediately. If none exists, decide whether a detour can recover the item without costing more fuel and supplies than it saves. For an ordinary weapon, another supported loadout may be enough. For a unique objective item, the branch may need to change.

Tell the team what was lost. Quietly continuing can cause players to spend resources on an objective that is no longer possible.

Evidence level: the sell loop and relevant badge thresholds are Official. Specific keep priorities are Community corroborated. Exact item prices and replaceability need current in-game verification. Checked September 18, 2026.
